A gentle road to adulthood

In the upper school, education turns into a real and deep personal experience, where theory comes alive in practice and the student becomes the author of their own life and of their community.

Taking on real responsibility

Adolescents take on real tasks with tangible consequences for themselves and for those around them. Every decision they make carries weight, and this naturally builds their inner strength and integrity.

Self-expression and discovering talents

Young people are given room to explore their identity and their strengths in safety. Through their own projects and presentations they gain healthy self-confidence and the courage to show the world who they are.

Social awareness and ethics

Regular discussions about fairness and rules lead adolescents to see the needs of the whole. They look for their roles in the community and learn to listen respectfully to views unlike their own.

Theory joined with practice

For adolescents, academic study is closely tied to work in the field and to community projects. Knowledge is not the goal for them but a tool for understanding how the real world works.

Independent planning and study

Students organise their own learning according to individual plans and take charge of their own time. This skill prepares them reliably for the demands of secondary school and of adult life.

The road to financial independence

Cooking together regularly and running the café at school events, adolescents get to grips with the principles of enterprise and teamwork. They pick up practical skills that lead to independence and financial literacy.

Students focus mainly on mathematics and languages. They work individually and in groups on tasks that build logical thinking, work with text and preparation for secondary school entrance exams.

Mon + Tue

This day is given over to self-expression — presenting their own projects, working on personal interests, cooking, creative activities. In the afternoon there is the main meeting, where students deal with the things that matter, how the class will run, community topics or new project proposals.

Wed

During Thursday’s “Work and Study” the adolescents take on practical work according to the season — whether outdoors on the school grounds or inside on various projects. The aim is to join the sciences with practical life, to take responsibility and at the same time to build skills away from the desk.

Thu

Lessons are given over to humanities seminars and further foreign languages. Students discuss current issues in society, learn to argue a case and to think in context.
