Target group: primary school pupils, including preparatory classes
Labyrint Lhota has taken part in the scheme since 2022.
The “Fruit and Vegetables to Schools” scheme aims to support healthy eating habits in children from an early age. Receiving fresh fruit and vegetables regularly introduces pupils to different foods and teaches them to make these part of their diet.
The main benefit of the scheme is better eating habits, higher consumption of healthy food and the prevention of lifestyle diseases. It also builds awareness of the importance of farming and of where food comes from. Its purpose is to lead children towards taking responsibility for their own health and to support their overall physical and mental development through good, balanced food.
